How we list installers

This is an independent directory. We are not an installer, we do not endorse any business, and we do not rank them.

Who gets listed

We list businesses whose own website says they install outdoor Christmas, holiday or permanent lighting, and that they serve the city in question or its metro area. Directories, review sites and marketplaces are used only to find names – never as the source for anything we publish.

Before a listing goes live we open the business’s website and check its name, phone number, services and service area. Businesses that look like lead-generation or referral networks rather than installers are left out.

What a listing shows

The business name, the towns it names, whether it offers seasonal installation, permanent lighting and commercial work, its phone number and a link to its website – and the month we last checked it. We do not publish star ratings, review counts, prices or claims such as “best” or “top”.

Order

Free listings on every city page appear in alphabetical order. That order is never for sale.

Paid placements

Installers can pay for a Featured placement or a City Spotlight. Paid placements appear in their own clearly labelled space above the alphabetical list. Paying does not change what a listing is allowed to claim, and it does not remove other businesses from the page.

Quote requests

When a homeowner sends a quote request, we pass it to installers who serve their area. Where a city has a City Spotlight, requests from that city’s page that do not name a particular installer go to the Spotlight holder. We do not sell homeowner details to anyone else.

Corrections and removals

Details on an installer’s website can change. If a listing is wrong, or a business would rather not be listed, use the form on the installer page and we will correct or remove it.

Always confirm prices, insurance, dates and what is included directly with the installer. Information here is a starting point, not a guarantee.
