Questions to ask before you buy
- What does the warranty cover, and for how long? Lights, controller, power supplies and labor are often covered for different periods.
- Where exactly will the track go, and how is it fixed? Fascia or soffit, screws or clips, and what happens to the holes if it is ever removed.
- Where does it plug in? Where the controller sits, and whether you need a new outlet.
- What happens if a section fails? Who fixes it, how quickly, and at what cost once the warranty ends.
- Can I see a finished job by day and by night? Photos of a home like yours are the best test of how visible the track is.
- Does my HOA need to approve it? Check before you sign, not after.
